In the 19th century the building at 49, passage des Panoramas was occupied by a shop that was selling industrial goods. Today it houses quite the opposite – a gallery that offers products made by craftsmen from around the world.
Gallery’s owner, Isabelle Remuset, has put the idea of her place into three words: crafts, contemporary items and fair trade.
It is here where Brazilian Amazon jewellery neighbour with Estonian pillow-chairs, Rajastani dolls make pair with Senegal toys, and abstract Kenya, Ukraine and Liban are translated into peculiar hand-made produce.
A great place to look for a nice “cadeaux” while enjoying a visit to one of the most charming of Paris passages.
Opening hours: Tuesday to Saturday from 10h30 to 19h30.
